Recipe: Sesame Leaf Kimchi
Summary: Sesame Leaf Kimchi (kenip kimchi, 깻잎 김치) is a good side dish in summer. If you like fresh flavor of sesame leaves, you definitely should try this.
Ingredients
- 40 fresh sesame leaves
- Minced garlic 1T
- thinly sliced Korean green pepper 1T
- Soy sauce 1T
- Chili powder 1T
- Anchovy sauce 4T (You can get a bottle of anchovy sauce from any Korean grocery store)
- Sesame oil1t
- Sugar 1t
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and make the sauce
- Place a leaf at the bottom of a container
- Spread the sauce on the surface of a sesame leaf
- Place 2 leaves on the top of the one you spread the sauce on and spread the sauce.
- Repeat Step 4 for all the leaves
- Close the container and keep it in the fridge for 1 day
- Serve them as a side dish
