Recipe: Kimchi Pancake
Summary: Kimchi jeon is a pancake made with chopped Kimchi. If you have Kimchi in your fridge and get hungry at night, you can make kimchi jeon with just flour and egg.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup of chopped Kimchi
- 1/3 cup Kimchi soup
- 1 cup of flour
- 1 egg
- 2/3 cup of water
- 2 T vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a big bowl, mix chopped Kimchi, flour, an egg and salt.
- Add water and mix them well.
- Heat a pan, add some oil, scoop the mix and spread it over the pan.
- Cook it until it turns to nice orange color.

May I chk why some kimchi jeon pancake recipe added milk instead of water ?
Any difference in taste?
I never used milk for kimchi jeon, but my guess is to soften the spiciness of Kimchi.
it taste good.. I already try it.. but somehow 1tb of salt is too salty for me.. but maybe it’s depend on the kimchi itself..

This is more like an appetizer or late night snack. I would say good for 2 people, but it won’t fill them up 🙂
